When you install wordpress, by default the Kubrick theme is installed for your blog. You could add a new blog theme. But the default Kubrick theme is clean and good for seo. You only need to add a custom header. There are many sites offering custom kubrick header. All you need to do is to replace the kubrickheader.jpg with the new header image.
I did this for many of my sites. In fact I even renamed the header file and modified the css file. But for one of my sites the default kubrick header will not go off, no matter what I did. I played with the code and finally managed to remove the default header, but the new custom header will not show up. Now I have no header display for my default kubrick theme.

After searching on google and playing with my code I finally found the solution. Here what was casuing this issue.

My wordpress installation was upgraded from earlier version and as a result there was this fucntions.php file in the theme folder.
All you need to do is, delete the file functions.php from the blog directory/wp-content/themes/default/ and you are ready to go. See the kubrick theme with custom header in action at Forex Robot website.
